To me, I'd say that the Street has the same RAM as the 2000s/3000s but lacks wifi, stereo sound, and has a cheaper body construction. People on here complain all the time about the 1000s not being able to emulate those systems as well on some games (particular SFX games like Yoshi's Island or Star Fox) as the 2000s/3000s. Yeah, the only issue I'd see is that the additional RAM will definitely help with emulation of some of the beefier SNES/Genesis/GBA games. The RAM change should not affect homebrew by a large margin, but I will edit and include a note about the 1000 having less compared to the 2000/3000.

The RAM is not relevant in my opinion, as 1 app I know of that can't run at all on the 1000 is Pro Online, as with the street. It lacks several features that are on previous models.

This means that very few homebrew applications will not run as fast as other models, and very few plugins will not work with the 1000 series because of the limited RAM.
